We determine the requirements from information provided over the phone and information retrieved from our examination of the frame when at the property and we determine a cost for the remedial works afterwards. Our works range from the repair of cracks or seal damage to the replacement of whole windows whether wood, metal or UPVC. If required our glaziers will order or source the required parts and fit them when they ready. We can supply and fit mirrors and table top panes for you too. Mirrors can often be fitted on the same or next day and table tops often require a short ordering period due to the composition of the glass. We can design the piece of glass to various shapes and sizes, being sure to smooth the edges down for safety purposes if the glass isn’t designed for a frame. Our glaziers will measure the glass and take note of any aesthetic preference for the glass you may have and proceed.

Are you interested in having insulating glass with a reduction in heat loss? To curve the amount of heat lost through the windows we can fit a piece of low-emissivity glass which keeps the property temperate in the summer and warm in the winter. Alternatively, we can fill a new double glazed unit with argon gas which is denser than normal air and will insulate over the long term. To resolve the ever-plausible predicament of possessing new furniture or items you are unable to get into a property we provide a fast response remove and refit service. A glass pane of sufficient size will be removed for you and refit at a later time when the pane is ready to be refitted. We can simulate the effect of leaded or Georgian windows through the implementation of decoration lead or Georgian bars. If you have a double glazed or single glazed window we can apply decoration to the new window pane in the style of decoration lead or white Georgian bars. The lead or bars are stuck on to the glass either during its formation (we can apply them to either the outside or inside the glass if you have a double glazed unit) or just prior to its fitting. In terms of the layout we can apply it to numerous designs, the lead usually to a square design or diamond shape as per your preference.

Most of our glasswork revolves around the replacement of modern panes but we do cater for windows of a more traditional design. Our specialists can repair or replace traditional leaded light windows depending on the damage to the glass and to the lead. If the lead alone has been damaged repairs are often possible however if more than two panels in the window are broken (depending on their position) complete leaded window replacements may be required. The glazier will advise on the best course of action and proceed accordingly. If the window needs to be ordered in we can install a glass pane temporarily or fit a board in the window whilst we wait for its arrival. Some panels are not glass at all and are Perspex/polycarbonate. Our glaziers can supply and fit these for you to the required size and to the desired design. Our glaziers can fit Perspex at different thicknesses and in either opaque or transparent. We aim for a same day fitting for this work.

Do you require sash window repair in any respect? Our glaziers can conduct repairs to the numerous facets involved with sash windows as we understand each component works together as part of a whole. Glass replacement is carried out in a format of quotation over the phone and replacement when on site if the glass is available. However we also provide a replacement of sash cords and the re-alignment or adjustment of the window if it is required as we do not want to provide only a partial repair if a sash window problems encompasses multiple areas.
